Last month, Java Offshore attended Sunrise ceremony of Bataan – Cavite Interlink Bridge (BCIB) project under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Philippines. This three-phase campaign awarded to Java Offshore supports the detailed engineering design (DED) works for the Bataan-Cavite Interlink Bridge, a 32-kilometer-long inter-island bridge project between the provinces of Bataan in Central Luzon and Cavite in Southern Tagalog Regions.
Java Offshore was honoured to be appointed as the contractor of choice for Geophysical Survey and Geotechnical Investigation for this campaign.
On September 18, 2022, Java Offshore’s geotechnical vessel MV Trinity Surveyor successfully reached the target depth of 125 meters borehole for the South Channel Bridge area. Our vessel Trinity Surveyor was chosen for her proven ability to acquire seabed soil samples.
On 23rd September 2022, being part of the Sunrise Ceremony BCIB project. Java Offshore is proud to host delegates from various stakeholders; DPWH Senior Undersecretary Emil Sadain together with Bataan Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III, Bataan 3rd District Representative Maria Angela Garcia, RMCII Multilateral UPMO Project Director Sharif Madsmo H. Hasim, Project Manager Teresita V. Bauzon, Mariveles Mayor Ace Jello Concepcion and DED Consultants lead by Marwan Nader to visit and witness our Geotechnical vessel Trinity Surveyor in operation.
According to Senior Undersecretary Emil K. Sadain, evaluating underground conditions and site characterization over the waters of Manila Bay are still on-going with an overall accomplishment at 55 percent to date. He also mentioned the geological aspects of the site, surface and subsurface, will continue to be studied in more detail.
Since mid of this year, Phase 1 and 2 of the Geophysical Campaign has been successfully completed through the utilisation of Java Offshore’s dedicated offshore survey vessel, RV Java Irdina and our partner’s nearshore boat, MV Isla covering water depths as shallow as 3m to over 40m. The data obtained from the Geophysical Program was processed and interpreted through our in-house reporting team supported by specialised 3rd party processing houses.
