Spreading goodwill this Ramadhan; Java Offshore distributes Iftar packs to passerby.

Ramadan is the time of giving and sharing, especially with those who are less fortunate. Last year Java Offshore organised Ramadhan Iftar (breaking fast event) with orphans for both offices in Jakarta & Kuala Lumpur. As part of our Ramadhan campaign this year, Iftar packs were distributed filled with bubur lambuk (savoury rice porridges), dates, local traditional ‘kuih’ and mineral water to all.

Java Offshore branding & communication executive Hidayah said it was the first time they gave out Ramadhan packs to the people in conjunction with Ramadan. “This is part of our corporate social responsibility, to give back something to the community.” she said.

On Tuesday 28th May 2019, Java Offshore team took part in the packing, preparing and distributing. More than 350 Iftar packs were given out near Ampang Park LRT station; downtown Kuala Lumpur where we find most of Muslims head home for Iftar. The team started distributing at 4.00pm and finished at 4.30pm.

“Food is always the best way to reach out to people; in fact, it’s truly the Malaysian way. We are pleased to be in a position to offer symbols of goodwill through this initiative.” Hidayah added.
