On 27th November 2019, Java Offshore participated in the KL Rat Race for the first time. Apart from sending one team of 5 runners, there were also CEO run category in which Java Offshore Executive Vice President Lee Weng Kai and Geophysical Vice President Mo Kwai Leong participated.
“The 5km race was a challenge for us with this new route as it is hilly around the Perdana Botanical Garden (Lake Gardens). To top it off, some of us were called in last minute without proper training to replace the original runners who could not attend due to last minute work commitments.” said Nur Ainyshazleen, our Marine Coordinator (DPA/CSO).
Nevertheless it was amazing that all corporations who registered come together in the spirit of one at running to raise money for a group of different organisations. The proceeds will support work in education & training, health & well-being and the environment. There is nothing better than knowing that together we contributed back to our society and ran the race to take our kids further. Towards building a stronger nation and putting our kids first.
